Developer Collectorz creates database software applications that lend a helping hand to people who like to collect things – movies, books, comics, games, and music. The Collectorz-developed database tool that will help you manage your collection of music is aptly named Music Collector. It’s very easy to use, it has a customizable interface, it provides easy access to music management functionality.

Music Collector is available for Microsoft’s Windows and for Apple’s Mac OS X operating system. Music Collector for Windows is compatible with Windows XP or newer while Music Collector for Mac is compatible with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or newer. Getting Music Collector up and running on any of these operating systems is a very simple task.

There’s much to like about Music Collector’s interface: it is very easy to navigate, it provides support for multiple languages, it can be customized. You can choose what elements are displayed on the interface and you can choose how elements are displayed on the interface – switch from list to images and cover flow view, pick one of many templates for the details view, choose to view 2 or 3 panels on the interface, and more.

Music Collector, as mentioned above, is a database application. This means that it stores information about music in a database. Multiple options are available to import data into the database. Multiple options are available to export data from the database. You can automatically or manually add music albums to the database. You can find duplicate albums and you can remove albums from the database. You can quickly find items in the database, manage loaned items, and sync information with your CLZ Cloud account. From this database application’s interface you can access lots of options that will help you manage your collection of music.

Music Collector is not free, it is only free to try. The trial version is limited to 100 albums and 200 searches on the Collectorz.com central online music database. To get rid of these limitations, you must get the paid Standard or Pro edition. The differences between these two editions are highlighted here. Keep in mind that the Pro version lets you share your music collection online, has more batch adding and editing features to offer, and features more customization options.

Music Collector is a great tool for managing a collection of music. Just like Book Collector is great for managing a collection of books and Movie Collector is great for managing a collection of movies.

Pros

Music Collector is available for Windows and OS X; getting it up and running on a PC or on a Mac is an effortless task. The interface features multiple customization options and provides support for multiple languages. Access lots of features that will help you easily manage a collection of music.

Cons

Trial limitations: limited to 100 albums and 200 searches on the Collectorz.com central online music database.
